About Lucasville Ohio
Lucasville is a small town located in the southern tip of Ohio in Scioto County. It’s named after Captain John Lucas who was a veteran of the War of 1812. His brother was once governor of Ohio, and John and his wife ran a tavern in Lucasville. He designed the original layout of the town back in 1819. A post office was named in his honor and has been in continuous operation since 1828.
Lucasville is a quiet little town with some wonderful places to visit. You can always catch a good meal at The Country Kitchen or drive over to Portsmouth for Italian at Giovanni’s Of Rosemount.
